The Reason Cell iPhones Should Not Be Used While Driving

Years ago, when cell phones were first installed in vehicles, there were few things cooler than talking on the phone while cruising in your car. Those cell phones in their cars by those who can not afford not envy. It was a status symbol reserved for the elite. This luxury is beyond the reach of the average consumer, because the equipment was expensive and the service really stuck it to you.

Now days, almost everyone is carrying around a cell phone. From young children to the children’s great grandparents. With the introduction of cheaper equipment and lower monthly bills, the gadgets that become available to virtually anyone who wants one.


It is no secret that countless car crashes have been caused by drivers who are distracted while you are talking on their cellphones. At the time this article was written, 21 states have laws either banning or restricting talking on a cellphone while driving. Approximately 50 countries around the world have a ban or severe restrictions placed on the gabbing while driving. The current trend is that more and more jurristrictions to place ban on the dangerous behavior of the drive while you talk on the phone.

Technology is always changing and now it is an even greater danger on the road. Managers who read and send text messages while behind the wheel! Who would have thought that people so stupid? It appears that only a few of the “dumb” managers do it, but it is simply not the case. SMS while driving is becoming a big problem.

Studies suggest that as many as 20% of drivers are SMS, while in the driver’s seat. This number rises considerably when looking at the young adult drivers. Estimates show that approximately 60% of drivers between the ages of 17 and 25 are involved in this dangerous behavior. There is no way to know exactly how prevalent this problem is not but one thing is certain. It is dangerous. This is causing crashes. It is caused injuries. It has even caused death!

As of February, 2009 Alaska, California, Connecticut, Florida, Colorado, New Jersey, Washington and the District of Columbia have banned drivers from text messaging while Motoring.

Penalties for the violation of these laws varies by location. Starting this year you will with a $ 101 dollar ticket if you are caught in Washington state to get hit. Legislators in Florida are pushing for a $ 700 fine!

Regardless of how much green you may have to fork out, the reality is that you can be killed, or killing someone else when you text while driving. Do everyone a favor and put the phone away and focus on your car.
