What I Love About My Dish Network Satellite Services
Our requirements are:
Service to 4 TVs
DVR or TiVo type service on at least 2 of those TVs
High definition channels, the more the better
Movie packages such as HBO, Cinemax and Starz
Ability to buy Pay per view football games as needed
good selection of kids channels for my young children
good customer service
equipment that made sense to use
The goal was to find all of that for as cheap as possible. Our local company has the advantage of being local, but they had to charge a lot more simply because of how small they are.
DirecTV was an option we’d had before, but in order to get service to all 4 TVs (2 of them are HD) it would have cost about $30 per month more simply because of all the receivers we’d need and the other miscellaneous charges they have.
We ended up with Dish Network because they are charging us about $100/month for all of that we listed above. We have a large selection of channels including movies and sports, about 50 HD channels, PPV access, and a single receiver serves 2 TVs at once, where each are fully independent and each have their own DVR capabilities. It was impossible to beat their deal.
