Samsung has undoubtedly made an impact on the mobile phone world in recent years with its fantastic music handsets and some equally brilliant camera phones but they have not really managed to pull off both in the same handset without any issues arising. As a result, many individuals were sceptical when the new Samsung U900 Soul was unveiled and promised to do both. The question is, has it?
The answer to that question is largely dependent on who you ask. People either tend to love this phone or **** it but the vast majority of people fall into the former category. The one thing people do agree on though is the appearance of the phone itself. The Samsung U900 Soul is a stylish and classy handset. It is very slim and has been specifically designed so that critics will label it as elegant. It is smooth to the touch and has a metallic finish that is difficult to better in terms of its mass appeal.
The Samsung U900 Soul is a slider and the mechanism is absolutely wonderful. It slides open quickly and easily. The 2.2″ 240×320 pixels TFT screen is beautifully embedded into the casing and displays 16 million colours, which makes it perfect for viewing the wonderful images you can take using the 5MP camera. However, it is the keypad underneath that causes the most praise and criticism at the same time. The keypad actually changes to display icons that are associated with the function you are using on the Samsung U900 Soul at any given time. For the experienced user, this is a wonderful touch that makes navigation a whole lot easier, but it is difficult to get used to if you have technophobe tendencies.
Now on to the comprehensive features. The Samsung U900 Soul has 3G connectivity and so gives you many options for sharing and uploading music and images. It also has the standard FM radio that the vast majority of phones have today. However, it is the combination of the 5MP camera and the Bang & Olufsen enhanced music player that has attracted the majority of its fans.
The camera the Samsung U900 Soul packs is simply brilliant. It enables both image and video to be taken on the phone, all of which is of a high quality and subject to the extras built into the camera. It has auto focus and face detection to ensure that you can take high quality pictures for display on the equally high quality screen. The music player gives the highest quality of audio to be found in any phone and supports all of the major file types so you can listen to your tune on your own terms as and when you please.
Given the above features, you would think that the memory would be at least 1GB. However, the inbuilt memory is only 128MB. It can be supplemented with a MicroSD card but it is slightly disappointing that Samsung did not think about this in advance. Aside from the slight issue, the Samsung U900 Soul is a highly likeable handset and is worth a look. If you want it all in a phone then it will certainly not disappoint!

Cell Phone Review – Samsung E2510
November 10th, 2011
Samsung E2510 can be simply understood as the best possible purchase meant for folks searching for some quality within a budgeted purchase. This Samsung offering has been smartly designed to offer all the basic and few extra functionalities but does away with the glam factor, as it is a basic-level, performance-oriented device.
Simple but the Samsung E2510 Delivers: from the outside, the phone exudes confidence and style with its well designed outlook. The screen is considered average at 1.9 inches and for such dimensions, a display resolution at 128 x 160 is still acceptable. The images captured by the VGA camera is still of acceptable quality. There is a pronounced silver lining that could be easily mistaken for a steel rimming that is associated with higher-end phones. The overall design elements are basic and emphasize usability rather than trying to impress you. The clamshell design ensures that that the maximum features are incorporated in the smallest possible space and though the keypad might look a bit clustered, it is easy-to-use.
To maximize space on the inside, all the volume controls, SD slots and the music control keys have been packed along the outer upper edge and are easy-to-handle after you get accustomed to them. As a budget cell phone, it does not come with many functions. But Samsung still manages to include some goodies to enhance usability. For example, the menu display theme could be chosen from the three standard ones that are offered – the basic Samsung Theme, purple colored Plum theme and blue primary-colored Celestial theme.
Appreciable Features: the VGA-quality camera has a basic pin-hole type lens that is found near the top horizontal surface of the phone and it can be easily used even when the phone is flipped open. For its low price, the Samsung E2510 still offers useful features like flash, night shooting mode, auto focus and red eye reduction functionalities. Image editing is possible through the Samsung phot editor. It has a dedicated music player which can only recognize music files in MP3 format. Bluetooth 2.0 is also offered and it can be used to download data from other mobiles or the PC. There is a micro-SD that can accommodate up to 2 GB of memory along with 15 MB of user memory.
Verdict: for its targeted audience, the Samsung E2510 does make a lot of sense, providing all the basic features along with some unexpected additions at a price that is hard to beat. There are few other phones which can compete at the same price bracket which offers Bluetooth connectivity, VGA camera and GPRS support.

The New Helio Ocean Cell Phone Review
October 22nd, 2011
The new Helio Ocean cell phone is quite a stylish phone. It has a two-way sliding mechanism, which gives this device the power of a phone keypad, as well as a full QWERTY keyboard.
The Helio Ocean phone cell phone offers lightning fast EV-DO data access on the largest 3G network around, stereo Bluetooth, built-in GPS, and a great do-it-all messaging center that combines text, IM, and e-mail. It has a 2-megapixel camera (with auto flash) that takes crystal clear pictures and delivers up to two hours of video recording.
Overall, this Helio Ocean cell phone is considered to be a fun phone. The sliding gives a great “clack” sound and is very satisfying to do over and over again, but will probably be annoying to the people around you.
The Software:
There’s a lot of software in the Helio Ocean cell phone such as AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, Hotmail, Gmail, Helio Mail and EarthLink. When instant messaging, the user can enter someone’s IM information in the contact entry and see if they’re online by simply searching for their name on the screen. Helio also introduced Microsoft Office Exchange and Helio file viewer for the business savvy consumer. The Helio Ocean cell phone has many features that make this phone convenient and very user friendly.
As far as Instant Messaging is concerned, the Helio phone has a desktop-class IM client. It is important to note that the Helio phone is a lot better than the phones offered by Windows Mobile. The standard menus are the same as all Helio phones, but the Ocean browser has been upgraded. We believe the Helio Ocean cell phone is the first for a native phone IM client.
Helio GPS/Google Maps and Buddy Beacon are also present on the Helio phone. They represent really cool features that allow users to locate both their friends and themselves. The Helio phone screen is very bright, thus many people choose to adjust the brightness especially when playing a video.
The music, video player, database, and of course, its excellent messaging center, are easily accessed through a Helio serviceable web browser. The zoom in and out options on the camera are very easy to use, and the web pages rapidly load over an extremely fast 3G EV-DO connection.
Music, Games & More
The Helio phone also allows you to interact with sites like Myspace, eBay, Wikipedia, Craigslist, CNN, Google News, YouTube, Helio Traffic, AccuWeather, Yahoo Business, etc… Helio has integrated all these sites with their own specially designed interface. You can shop and blog with your Helio phone. Another great feature the Helio has, is the integration of Helio music. The Helio phone is a fine tuned music machine! Download complete songs, ring tones, full length videos and enjoy music and videos the way they were meant to be. Enjoy 3D gaming with life like clarity on your Helio Ocean cell phone.
The Ocean has a 2.4-inch 260k color QVGA display, built in stereo speakers and stereo Bluetooth to give your Helio Ocean cell phone the best sound possible. With 200MB of internal memory, and a four gig expandable memory, this is why the Helio phone is making waves from coast to coast; the Helio Ocean cell phone is by far, our Top Choice.
