WIRELESS NETWORKS: Modern wireless systems have better performance than the basic basic digital wireless systems. These systems can be classified into three categories: 1) System Interconnection 2) Wireless LANs 3) Wireless WANs. Bluetooth is another technology being used within the short range. When this technology is activated in a device the device is connected to another device which has the bluetooth activated and hence data can be transferred. In Wireless LAN, a base station is wired to the Internet and the nodes in the network are connected to the workstation wirelessly. Wireless Wan has a greater area coverage. HOME NETWORKS: Home networks will become increasingly widespread in future when most of the devices at home are being communicated with each other wirelessly or wired and make the living more sophisticated.
